I don’t need my daughter to be perfect.
I don’t need her to get everything right, to never make mistakes, or to meet anyone’s expectations but her own.
What I hope for her is a life where she feels safe to be exactly who she is. One where she learns how to stand on her own two feet, but also knows she never has to walk alone.
I want her to be brave enough to fall and still believe in her ability to rise. I want her to feel the kind of love that doesn’t vanish when things get messy.
And more than anything, I want her to carry this truth with her wherever she goes.
As her parent I will always be there. Not just when things are easy, but especially when they aren’t. (Mama Life)
