THE PEACE OF CHRIST (Catholic Daily Reflection)

Jesus said to his disciples: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you.” John 14:27.

So how does the peace that Jesus gives you differ from the apparent peace that the world gives? We all want peace in life.True peace produces strength. It leads to interior integrity and wholeness. It produces clarity of thought and certitude in convictions. God’s peace leads to more peace. It leads to choices based on well-thought-out actions of love. Peace leads us to the will of God, and the will of God leads to peace. The cyclical effect is exponential and is one of the clearest guides to happiness in life.

REFLECT  TODAY , upon whether you truly have peace in your heart. Do you recognize the still, strong and sustaining presence of God within your soul? Do your daily choices produce greater integrity of heart and clarity of mind? Do you find that you have joy and calm, even in the midst of life’s greatest challenges? Seek out this peace, for if you do, you will be seeking out the good God Who produces this glorious gift within your heart.

LET US PRAY

My Lord of true peace, You and Your holy will are the only path to the deepest fulfillment of all of my desires in life. When I make poor choices that lead to disorder and confusion, help me to turn to You with all my heart. Please unmask any deception I struggle with and give me the strength I need to seek You and Your peace alone. Jesus, I trust in You.

Walking Down Memory Lane

I’ve been keeping all my paintings (old and new) though these are just my practice projects. They’re special for a simple reason that I put time and effort in learning color mixing, shading, techniques, and many to mention. I still have a loooooong way to go, but I’m excited for any small improvements along the way. I dream of continuing to paint even if I will have my own family someday. To have a workshop at home with my kids is a dream I pray will be granted. I   didn’t receive much support for my creativity while growing up. No harsh feelings though that’s just how it was. I remember nearly crying when my late father hung one of my paintings in our living room and how proud he was for me. That  gesture meant everything. I am so grateful for my parents and I love them so dearly. One day, I will be a parent myself  —imperfect, but loving, and loved. I can’t help but ponder these thoughts: If I am called to a life of marriage, what kind of mother will I be?...

Crochet 🧶

I recently picked up crocheting, and I’m overjoyed to have found another hobby that brings both calm and focus into my “slow life” days.  It’s been a peaceful rhythm to learn, and I’m surprised by how relaxing it feels, I find myself more present. Below are some of my early creations. They’re simple and novice, but they bring me so much joy, especially knowing that I can turn them into heartfelt gifts for others. ♦For my collection of books — Book Sleeve crochet  ♦ Cellphone pouch crochet      Coasters    …more coasters ♥   Hair Bandana    Hair Bandana 2 😆   ♦Crescent Bookmark Crochet I’ll continue practicing each day in hopes of getting better over time. I’ll share my progress here on the blog as I go.  I appreciate you taking the time to read this. “But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8 ESV

My Creative Journey

It’s been a while since my last post—and a lot has happened since I became Mrs. Reinhart. But today’s update isn’t about life changes; it’s simply to document where I am in my creative journey. I think it was around June or July 2023 when I started diving into art and crafts on a daily basis. I’ve been learning through YouTube tutorials, reading art books (I’m happy to say I’ve collected at least 15 new PDF art books—still unread but full of promise!), daily sketching, journaling and reflecting. Most of my learning happens quietly, in my little art space, where I create and share my output to my social media—not for the likes or recognition, but because I believe art is meant to be shared. Just as beauty is subjective, so are the pieces I make. I’m not always sure if I’ve captured the feelings or message I intended but each piece is a part of me. My art space has evolved over time, a reflection of who I’m becoming.  My table was a wooden one handmade by my late father—sturdy, full ...
